Mehta is an Indian born actor best known for his role Devesh Katdare
on the USA Network medical drama Royal Pains and for his role Sanjay
Rajapaksa on the ABC legal drama Eli Stone.

Mehta was born in New Delhi, India. He made his TV debut in 1989 on
the TV mini series Around the World in 80 Days. He had recurring
roles on the Fox action series 24 and the ABC legal drama Eli Stone.

medical drama Royal Pains as Devesh Katdare the father of one of the
main characters Divya Katdare who doesn't approve of his daughter
