Akbar Kurtha is an actor best known for his role Rana Mistry on the soap opera Doctors and for his role Farhad Hassan on the action series 24. 

 

Akbar Kurtha made his movie debut on the 1993 movie Bhaji on the Beach.  In 2000 Akbar was cast as one of the main characters on the soap opera Doctors where he portrayed doctor Rana Mistry. 

 

Akbar also had prominent role in 2010 on the action series 24 as Farhad Hassan the Chief of Staff of Kamistani who didn’t approve of his brother President Omar Hassan negotiating with America to end their nuclear program so he began a plan to assassinate his brother.
