Francia Raisa is an American actress best known for her role Adrian Lee on the ABC family drama Secret Life of the American Teenager and for her role Alejandra Delgado on the movie Cutting Edge 3 Chasing the Dream.
Francia Raisa was born in Southern California to Virginia Almendarez and Renan Almendarez Coello a radio personality (best known as El Cucuy). She has two younger sisters Italia and Irlanda. She took dancing lessons and learned tap, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop, and Polynesian dance.
Francia Raisa decided to become an actress after overhearing two girls at the millennium dance studio discussing their acting career. Francia interested stuck up a conversation and was introduced to their managers. She made her TV debut in 2005 on the TV series Over There.
Francia Raisa received some notoriety when she was cast as a supporting character on the ABC movie Bring it On All or Nothing (where she starred opposite actress Hayden Panettiere) as Leti a tough bossy Latina cheerleader. She went on star as the lead female character on the ABC family movie Cutting Edge 3 Chasing the Dream as Alejandra Delgado a hockey player who recruited by a famous ice skater to compete in the Olympics, Francia reprise her role on the sequel movie Cutting Edge 4 Fire and Ice.
Francia Raisa was cast as a main character on the ABC drama Secret Life of the American Teenager as Adrian Lee a promiscuous girl with abandonment issues in love with the school bad boy Ricky Underwood.
