Kristen Holden Ried is a Canadian actor best know for his role William Compton on the BBC drama Tudor and for his role Dyson on the Showcase supernatural series Lost Girl.

Kristen Ried was born on August 1, 1973 in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. He was interested in riding and fencing. He joined the Canadian National Pentathlon Team and won silver medal in the Pan American and Pan Pacific Pentathlon Championships. Kristen Reid studied at the Montreal Concordia University School of Business when he first audition and landed the lead role on the movie Young Ivanhoe in 1999. He also studied at the Green Room Actor Workshop and the National Film Acting School.

Kristen Ried in 2001 was cast as a recurring character on the CTV teen drama series Degrassi the Next Generation as Tracker Cameron the older protective brother of Sean Cameron who tries to keep his younger brother out of trouble.

In 2007 Kristen had a recurring role on the BBC drama Tudors as William Compton a friend of King Henry and romantic interest of composer Thomas Tallis. Kristen in 2010 was cast as a main character on the Showcase supernatural series Lost Girl as Dyson a shape shifting wolf detective and romantic interest of the lead character Bo.

Kristen Ried also had recurring role on the Showcase soap opera Paradise Falls, CTV science fiction drama The Listener and prominent role on the TV series MVP, Street Time and The Bridge.
