Marc
Singer is a Canadian born actor best known for his roles Mike Donovan on the TV
series V and for his role Dar on the Beastmaster movie. He was born on 29 January 1948, Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada.
Marc
started acting when a teacher chose him to fill a vacant role during a school
junior play. Marc made his debut on
screen in the late 70’s. His first
prominent role was on the TV series Root the next Generation as Andy
Warner.
He
received celebrity status when he was cast on the movie Beastmaster as lead
role Dar a royal prince raised by peasant who vows revenge against the priest
who has his village destroyed. Marc
reprises his role Dar for the sequel movie Beastmaster 2 Through the Portal of
Time and Beastmaster 3 the Eye of Braxas.
Marc also appeared on the TV series Beastmaster as Dartanus a Spirit
Warrior who guides and helps Dar in his quest.
Marc
received international status when he was cast on the popular original TV movie
V as Mike Donovan a documentary camera operator who discovered the alien
visitor aren’t benevolent and join a resistance movement to fight them. Marc reprised his role Mike Donovan on the
sequel TV series V and V the Final Battle.
In 2010
he appeared on the remake sequel TV series V as Lars Tremont the leader of
project Ares a secret group tasked with protecting earth from the
visitors.
